‘Tis the season to have everything pumpkin flavour, so I thought I would share one of my favourite healthy pumpkin pie protein shake recipes. Even though I sometimes have trouble drinking protein shakes during the winter (because I’m a wimp and they make me cold), they are still a great way to cram in some nutrition while on the go.
Protein shakes are still the best way to get your nutrition and macros in when you are in a rush, on the go, or just want a healthy snack! This pumpkin pie protein shake recipe is so tasty it almost tastes “unhealthy”, but don’t worry you can enjoy it guilt-free!
One thing to remember – Protein shakes can sometimes end up be higher calorie than expected if you add too many higher calorie ingredients. This recipe below is perfect for a snack, but if following other protein shake recipes, be careful that you are not adding too many ingredients. Entering everything into a food tracker (such as myfitnesspal) is a great way to see just how many calories is in each of your shakes.
