13 years of experience – Olympic Weightlifting
I’ve had a strong background in several different types of sports growing up such as, figure skating, swimming, soccer, basketball, track and Olympic lifting. At age 9 I started Olympic lifting. I’ve had the privilege to represent team Canada on countless international platforms on in Olympic Weightlifting. I’ve also been crowned a “Hall of Famer” on the BC Weightlifting site for my international accomplishments.In 2007, I won 3 gold for Canada at the Sub Pan-American Championships in Mexico. In 2009, I competed at the Youth World Championships in Thailand. A couple weeks before the 2010 Youth Olympic trials, I suffered from a serious elbow injury. Hence after that injury, I chose to switch my focus towards obtaining my bachelor’s in kinesiology and coaching.I’ve trained novices to experienced athletes and have worked with all different types of age groups. I enjoy helping others learn more about fitness and making exercise an enthusiastic experience.
